Hey! I’m Shannon.

This is the part where I introduce myself and tell you about who I am and what I do.

I have worn a crazy number of hats in my life to pay the bills.

These professional “labels” however don’t really tell you who I am, though do they? They are occupations, some of which I have held in different forms multiple times through my working life. You will find stories here where many of these occupations feature in the background but none of them really tells you about ME, I have an eclectic mix of interests, all of which I am sure I will end up sharing here on this platform in some form.

It is probably easier to tell you about the things that are important to me;

My kids, 2 adult children, 2 teens, and my forever angel baby.

My dogs, a pack of Aussies (there are only 3 of the buggers but I swear the noise they make is enough for about 3 times that!)

Writing, journaling, nonfiction (documenting what I learn as I go), sci-fi and fantasy.

Gardening, its all about the fruits and flowers, and getting something colourful to grow indoors during the long bleak winters while my garden sleeps under the snow.

Cooking, all day, everyday, from scratch.

Learning, I am a life long learner who is always willing to dive into following my ever changing curiosity to see where it takes me next. My current preoccupations are learning the piano, metaphysics, drawing and watercolour, everything plants, Scotland, FOOD, figuring out Youtube, and waxing philosophical over the evolving nature of education, creation, the internet and work.

Teaching, while I have been an eternal student of many subjects and skill sets I always seem to find myself turning back to teaching in some form or another as I progress.

Creating, I love taking my new skills and knowledge from various fields and mixing and kneading them into something new.
