[TIL] Some cats play fetch too
Similar to dogs, there seem to be cats that are also interested in playing fetch. Everything started today when my cat was playing around me with her new favourite toy — a small knitted ball filled with some catnip. I decided to entertain her a bit and threw the ball away from us. She ran instantly after it and started playing in the distance. After a minute she came back with it and dropped it next to me. I threw it again, and she played around with it, and came back to me and dropped it. “Oookey, you want to play fetch?” — said I, and threw it again. She stopped playing around with it that much, and started just bringing it back, and waiting for me to throw it again. “Amazing!” — said I to myself. We played a bit, until she got tired, and hid it somewhere. Now she is sleeping next to me.
In the end, I am thinking “Was I training her to fetch, or the opposite — was she training me to throw?”
