The Finger’s on the Self-Destruct Button

why allow these companies to determine the value of your music

Because people do not expect to pay for music anymore (At least in NYC) and even when they do, they have to be coaxed by the same methods of manipulation that these flashier, better designed companies are using and changing the expectations of the world around us. Artists try to work together, but not everyone gets to have their homespun, grassroots movement showcased on NPR. The rules out there are brutal and they support those that have trust funds, complete submission to the unknown or the luck of a small green elf farting rainbow dust.
