Celebrating the makers’ movement

Arduino Day is a worldwide celebration of Arduino’s birthday and makers’ movement bringing together makers, newbies, among others to share and learn.

The event will provide a platform to familiarize/ introduce the series of Arduino maker boards to the group, there will be a sample projects to show.

It does not matter whether you are an expert or a newbie, an engineer, a designer, a craftier or a maker, Arduino day Kenya 2017 is open to anyone who wants to celebrate Arduino and all things Arduino.

The event will run from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm where we will engage our audiences in various ways such as talks, show and tell sessions and panel discussions. The event is open to all and entry is free of charge.

The Agenda is as below:

  • Sign up at front desk 9:00 am — 9:30 am
  • Introductions 9:30 am — 10:00 am
  • Presentation: Arduino 10:00 am — 10:30 am

In this session, the audience will know about the various makes of Arduino maker boards, their specifications, compatibility of components and shields and introduce the Arduino Software Development Environment( Arduino IDE). The attendees will have a chance to ask any questions at the end of this session.

. Innovation by Arduino 10:30 am -11:00 am

Enhanced technology that replaces an existing technology or that succeeds similar technology and uses Arduino will be discussed during this session.

· IoT with Arduino 1.00 pm — 2.00 pm

Internet of Things (IoT) is an essential to give Arduino project live communication among other entities such as backup and data analysis and control. In this session we will talk of how utilization of IoT is possible using Arduino shields.

· Arduino projects Showcase 2.00 pm — 4.00 pm

During this session, students having projects running on Arduino environment will showcase what they have done. Demonstrations will be carried out, enabling students to fully appreciate Arduino. This will be a good exposure for student to the world of Arduino Innovations.

.Closing 4 pm — 4:30 pm

Here, attendees will have a chance to ask any questions, give comments and receive gifts from the event organizers.
