How a 1982 ‘Happy Days’ Episode Changed Tom Hanks’ Career

Tom Hanks, one of the most admired and accomplished actors of our time, is best known for his work in the movies Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, and Cast Away.

Hanks did, however, make a guest appearance on the well-known sitcom Happy Days before he became the well-known actor he is today, which ultimately had a significant impact on his career.

Hanks played Dr. Dwayne Twitchell, a former classmate of Henry Winkler’s character Fonzie, in the episode “A Little Case of Revenge” from 1982.
