I don’t think VR will fail as miserably as you think. While I agree that everyone won’t own a VR console like they own a smartphone right now, I do think the adoption rate will be very strong, to the point where 2017 should be the year of mainstream adoption.

BTW if AR takes off in 2016 more than VR does (as many are predicting), does that give you an out where you can come back later and say you were only talking about VR? I think you should have addressed AR as well, just to be clear.
