EOS Infra APIs kicked-off in September 2018!
We set out to create a scalable API service for the EOS mainnet that allowed thousands of DApps to focus on development rather than infrastructure.
Over the last year we provided 99.9999% availability and served over 25,000,000,000 requests. Not just this:
- We had over 1,000 unique DApps that have used the service, MANY more without referrer info.
- We distributed the service to over 5 cloud providers and over 15 geographic locations.
- The peak requests per second we served was: 8,950.
- We saved on average 16% of calls by implementing a 500ms cache for read queries.
In the last months of activity we noticed how many more DApps are utilizing our premium services due to the reliability and the convenience that EOS Infra Pro offers for developers and DApps of all sizes and skills.
The team focused their energies in optimizing and offering the best service in the EOS Mainnet in regards of both free and paid APIs. We’ve come to realize that developers are focused on giving the best experience for their clients by using EOS Infra rather than other APIs. However, because of this we started receiving an overload of requests on the free-tier that is now keeping too many of our resources and time.
For this reason, today we notify to the EOS community that we will be deprecating our FREE-tier starting from October 1st. EOS Infra will focus on providing an even better Pro-tier service, we will also be offering some of the Pro-tier packages at a discount rate until December 31st.
