Introducing EOS Nation Ambassador | Patrick Schmid | Switzerland
EOS Nation is proud to introduce Patrick Schmid as the latest Ambassador to join the EOS Nation team! Involved in the IT sector since 1995 as a software engineer, Patrick has combined his technical experience with intense passion to become a valuable asset to the general EOS community. Being an active contributor in various EOS telegram chats, his desire to educate the community is evident every day as he constantly answers various technical and non-technical questions that come up in the community.
Living in Switzerland, Patrick is well positioned to promote EOS in a country that has passed crypto-friendly legislation and has succeeded in attracting quality blockchain projects to the region. There is a huge opportunity for the EOS ecosystem to grow in Switzerland and we are excited to be able to further participate in the growth of the community as well as educating current blockchain entrepreneurs of the region about the power of EOS.
On October 4th, EOS Nation held a meetup in Lausanne, Switzerland which was organized by both our EOS Nation Ambassadors in Switzerland, Patrick Schmid and Thierry Stoudmann.
It was also the first stop for EOS Nation co-founder Vincent Grenier as he traveled to Switzerland and France to build the francophone community in the region. The event started with Vincent presenting a detailed explanation of EOS and its capabilities.
Patrick followed up with a presentation explaining his own NovaCrypto Platform.
In February 2018, Patrick founded the NovaCrypto startup to offer custom decentralized business process oriented solutions (BI — CRM — EDM — ERP) tailored to the client’s needs via the GESTech Toolkit and by using the EOS blockchain. The platform is accessible in PaaS and is located in the heart of Swiss Alps and is GDPR and legally compliant.
Overall, the EOS Nation meetup was a great success and we were very impressed by the level of technical knowledge displayed by the attendees. We had a great time speaking with all of them and had an interesting debate on the importance of geographic decentralization.
Patrick has also been part of the cross-BP collaborative efforts to build an EOS Education platform. He is working on a ‘MindMap’ tool to be incorporated on the EOS Education platform.
