Understanding EOSPlaystation Profit Distribution and Divinomics
On EOSPlaystation, house profit is determined by the summation of the house edge (or rake where appropriate) of all games on the platform. For instance the house edge on Dice classic is 2% and this should translate to profit when millions of plays occur on the dice game.
House profit is carefully distributed between our players, the Team and endeavors that help ensure steady growth of the platform. The chart below shows the sharing formula.
About 60% of profit goes back directly to the community in form of dividends and bonuses (referral bonus, streak bonus for dice classic and other promotional bonuses).
Dividends on EOSPlaystation can be earned from any of 2 Dividend Pools: Game-play Dividend Pool and Staking Dividend Pool.
50% of house Profits is shared equally into the Gameplay Dividend Pool (25%) and Staking Dividend Pool (25%). Each of these pools is distributed to entitled players every 24 hours at 12:00am UTC.
Game-play Dividend Pool is distributed to all players who participate in playing games within a 24 hour period. The proportion of EOS wagered by a player compared to the total EOS wagered in a 24 hour period determines the proportion of the Game-play dividend pool he/she is entitled to.
Players can stake their game-play dividends in the Staking smart-contract. This stake qualifies them to earn staking dividends from the Staking Dividend Pool. The ratio of the amount of EOS staked by a player to the Total Stake in the staking smart-contract determines the proportion of the Staking dividend pool a player gets at the end of a given 24 hour period.
Research and development is an integral part of the EOSPlaystation project. This will allow continuous platform improvements, regular smart contract audits, and deployment of new games. As such, 10% of house profit is allocated for this purpose. A further 5% is dedicated to marketing and 20% is dedicated to increasing the bankroll. The team retains 5% for payment of its staff and to cover running costs.
