As EOSIO Block Producers, we see a great opportunity to learn, evolve, and contribute to the WAX ecosystem, furthering our work on the gaming space. At the same time, this brings WAX an experienced DPoS team that holds top scores on EOSIO Block Production benchmarks.

Our infrastructure is based on a hybrid approach between bare metal and cloud.
Our producer nodes are bare metal servers owned by us. This allows us to achieve maximum performance for the CPU, thus having maximum transactions throughput. Also, the producer contains sensitive data, so having ours close to us can avoid censorship in the future.
We have several backups and redundancy in all aspects of the infrastructure design, aiming to never leave a single point of failure.
Our cloud servers are non-producer machines — they are light nodes on multiple cloud AZs to provide access to developers and users around the world, most focused on providing an access point to Latin America, but also on other countries, depending on the need of geo-distribution of the network.

Our engineering team is among the most proficient in EOSIO ecosystem, contributing to multiple networks and testnets. EOS Rio Engineers are security driven in every aspect of the operation. EOS Rio was part of the EOS mainnet launch and is running a Block Producer ever since, with more than 2.2 million blocks produced and 99.9% availability, always operating among the top BPs in CPU speed.

We have invested more than $120k in equipment that can be used for WAX network operation, besides our monthly costs of team, tier-1 collocation provider and local + cloud bandwidth.

We apply the most advanced hardware to take block production to its optimal performance. We will always commit to upgrading the producers’ nodes with top notch technology.
Our seed nodes, API, and History architecture were designed to achieve horizontal scalability. We can always deploy more nodes to meet network demands.

- SimplEOS for WAX
SimplEOS is one of the very earliest EOS desktop wallets and has greatly improved ever since mainnet launch, being the choice of many users for its clean interface, intuitive UX, and security-oriented approach.
The upcoming SimplEOS v0.8.1 already supports WAX and will be released soon! We are finishing integration with WAX core functions.
- Hyperion History for WAX
Hyperion History is a scalable full history API Solution for EOSIO based blockchains. It’s a project developed and maintained by us in an open-source framework.
EOS Rio will deploy and maintain Hyperion History on WAX, making full history API available for users and developers. We are also working to integrate WAX specific features into Hyperion History.
- Brazilian Community
Located in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, EOS Rio contributes to the cultural and geographical distribution of the WAX network.
We are already partnering with local influencers on the gaming community and organizing specific meetups to educate gamers on WAX applications and advantages. Biz Dev initiatives are exploring the possibilities for ventures that leverage WAX to tap Brazilian market opportunities.
We are sponsoring and organizing events such as the Rio Blockchain Conference and the 2nd EOS Community Conference in Rio in October/2019. We hope to see the WAX community in Rio!

- Governance
EOS Rio shares the vision of decentralization to ensure secure and trusted exchange, making it possible for people to easily buy and sell virtual goods. This creates new economies that are freer and fairer. Upholding those values should be the role of an evolving governance framework that is still in its infancy. EOS Rio believes in contributing to this evolution with a purpose-driven pragmatic approach.

- Security
EOS Rio was one of the proponents of the security/infrastructure model that today is widely used on the EOS mainnet. This was proposed last year upon EOS mainnet launch and we still work constantly to improve and test security standards. This model was fundamental on preventing large scale DDoS attacks that could hinder network operations.

Our Infrastructure is already active and ready to produce on the WAX mainnet. We are providing two APIs, one peering node and two producers (main and backup).
