You are probably aware that EOSUSA runs many, many of the EOSio-based networks operating today, but many are unaware of exactly what each chain’s purpose in life is (or that they even existed). Below I give a quick summary of each of the chains we are involved with and some information about what makes them unique.

EOS
EOS is by far the most visible and globally known implementation of the EOSio platform and is currently the 9th highest cryptocurrency with over $2bil in market cap. EOSUSA is an unpaid standby block producer on EOS (ivote4eosusa) and provides many additional layer 2 services for the EOS applications, such as LiquidApps, DelphiOracle price feeds, BOSIBC inter-blockchain communications, PredIQt market resolutions, etc

WAX
WAX (Worldwise Asset eXchange) is a chain focused on the digital asset features of EOSio along with the core tokenomics aspect of the chain. They have also released one of the smoothest user onboarding experiences with their Wax Cloud Wallet platform (allowing native browser chain authentication using social logins, etc.). They have also recently partnered with a major collectibles company Topps (https://topps.com) to release their new Garbage Pail Kids digital asset collection on WAX (and have many other titles that could be released on WAX as well). EOSUSA is an active guild on the WAX network (ivote4waxusa).

TELOS
Telos was one of the first tokens to take the EOSio platform and launch their own chain/token platform separate from EOS. All original EOS genesis accounts were originally cloned to the Telos chain (with a 40K token cap), although on the one year anniversary of launch, any unclaimed tokens/accounts were reclaimed by the chain and used to facilitate the chain’s funding mechanism (halting the built-in chain inflation and paying those distributions via the reclaimed tokens). Telos has focused on developing many unique additional EOSio contracts to provide developers more built-in tools to utilize while maintaining the core EOSio codebase (therefore easily integrating all updates from Block1). Some other unique features of Telos are:

  • Modified block production structure; all top 21 BPs paid same flat amount and then 31 standby BPs paid same amount (potentially lowering number of standbys soon). EOSUSA is an active block producer on the Telos network (votetelosusa)
  • Automatic testing of standby BPs to assure availability of services. Additionally, if active BP is offline for around 2 hours, chain temporarily suspends BP registration allowing a standby BP to step in.
  • Many custom solutions built for the chain: Telos Works (Worker Proposal System), Telos Decide (Chain Voting/DAC strucutre & tools)
  • Free account creation available (via the free.tf contract; prefunded from chain to cover account creations)
  • Exchanges are not allowed to vote with their custodial tokens

BOS
BOS was also another of the early adopters of the EOSio platform to launch their project. They have focused on advancing the features of the EOSio code-base to provide additional features on top of the core EOSio feature set. One major enhancement is the feature that allows for chain finality within 3 seconds from transaction (vs 2+ min on EOSio by default). They have also developed and implemented one of the first EOSio inter-blockchain communication services (IBC) allowing any token on any EOSio platform to be seamlessly moved between chains (and due to the 3sec LIB, some are almost instantaneous). EOSUSA is active block producer on the BOS network (bosusabosusa).

Insights Network (INSTAR)
INSTAR is an EOSio-based platform that focuses on targeted blockchain-based market research. Organizations can collect surveys and other information and in exchange for that, the end-users are compensated with tokens (INSTAR, EOS, etc.). They have developed their own web/mobile wallets and have several other features related to the anonymous data collection concept (microtasks, etc.). EOSUSA is an active block producer on the INSTAR network (ivote4eosusa) and deployed and feed the https://blocktivity.info contract with usage statistics.

PROTON
PROTON is the new chain launched with the partnership between MetalPay (https://metalpay.com) and Lynx (https://lynxwallet.io) and is designed to bridge the fiat/crypto worlds in an easy to use wallet. Offering free accounts with optional KYC as well as on-chain games (rewarding in crypto), it also will support direct fiat on-ramps with the standard bank/card transaction channels. EOSUSA is an active block producer on the PROTON network (eosusa) and selected as one of the 4 teams to participate in the Proton Consortium (that provides advisory services for BP selections, chain administration actions, and governance decisions).

AIKON (ORE)
Aikon’s Open Rights Exchange (ORE) provides GDPR & CCPA compliant Identity as a Service that connects businesses & their users on several public blockchains, including EOS, Ethereum, and more. ORE is an open-source set of standards, to provide a unified interface for managing access control, authentication, and financial settlement. ORE can connect off-chain identities (such as Facebook or Google), to multiple public blockchains to provide a seamless user onboarding experience. EOSUSA is and active block producer on the ORE network (ivote4eosusa)

DAOBet (Dao Casino)
DAOBet is an EOSio-based network aimed at providing a blockchain-based platform for the iGaming 3.0 industry. It has modified the base EOSio code to include few additional features:

  • Faster finality of transactions
  • Sponsored Transactions (dAPP pays for user’s resources)
  • Dynamic BP structure that expands from 21 to 100+ depending on amount of BET token staked.

It is also based off of the original ERC-20 token utilized during their ICO and a swap process is provided to exchange the EOSio-based system token back and forth to the ERC-20 version.

REMME
Remme specialized in providing blockchain-based PKI/security information applications/services based on the EOSio platform. They recently migrated their REMChain services from Hyperledger Sawtooth to EOSio but still utilize their original ERC-20 token that can be swapped back and forth to the REMChain system token for chain interaction.

  • Modified staking contracts (6 month slow release; unlike default 3 day unlocking)
  • Inflation split 40% block producers / 60% guardians (registered active voters; 250K REM stake required)

FIO
FIO (Foundation for Interwallet Operability) is an EOSio-based network that focuses on providing a common framework/account to link accounts from many different chains (BTC, Ethereum, EOS, etc.) to a single wallet address. It also removed the resource staking model in favor of fee-based transactions based on the resources each transaction requires. EOSUSA is an active block producer on the FIO network (bp@eosusa).

YAS
YAS is an EOSio-based network that is focusing on providing a community owned decentralized exchange where users can own portions of the markets and collect the fees. There are many pegged tokens with trading markets and with the addition of the BOSIBC solution, many native EOSio tokens such as EOS, BOS, WAX, and Telos are used in the trading pairs (and relayed back to original chain by normal EOS transfers). EOSUSA is an active block producer on the YAS network (ivote4yasusa).

COVAX
CoVax is a COVID-19 research initiative to allow users to donate excess processing power available on their devices to assist with the COVID-19 research. It utilizes the LiquidApps LiquidX services to utilize a dedicated EOSio-based chain and EOSUSA is an active producer on the network (ivote4eosusa).
