Quick Take: Russian Interference in the 2016 Election

It has been roughly 8 months since President Trump was elected, and the news has seemed to throw all their resources into talking about alleged collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.

First, they said the Russians hacked our election. That doesn’t make much sense. What did they do? Did they change votes electronically? No evidence was ever produced and this theory was peddled for months.

Secondly, the media claimed that Trump only won because his campaign colluded with the Russians to influence the election. A story recently surfaced about Don Jr. and his meeting with a Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, who claimed to have dirt on Donald Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton. Democrats cried “treason” and “undeniable collusion.” This, of course, was a questionable decision on Don Jr’s part, but nothing came out of it.

Not a single shred of evidence has been presented that confirms collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. This is such a broad accusation against our President. Did they “hack us” or did they “interfere?” Or did Trump collude with Russia. Did Putin help? Who exactly did what? None of the makes much sense. Those who believe Trump had help or cheated to win, keep changing the story of what allegedly happened.

I want this false accusation to blow over. Donald Trump won fair and square. Criticize him based on facts, not on something you wish were true to fit your narrative.
