Epic Golf launches its tee time and events app this month with the area’s first-ever yoga session hosted by College Park Yoga on the 17th fairway at Dubsdread Golf Course in College Park

June 15, 2017, ORLANDO, Florida — Epic Golf, a new Orlando-based start-up, launches this month aimed at making it easier to discover an experience at a golf course to fit the needs golfers and non-golfers alike.

Founded by a few guys passionate about business and the game of golf, Epic Golf now offers consumers the ability to book unique tee times and register for social events at more than 30 golf courses in the greater Orlando area. Whether a golfer is looking to book a great deal for 18 holes or wants to play a quick 6 or 9 holes, the Epic golf app offers more options than ever to fit an individual’s preference.

“We’ve created a brand that addresses some of the chronic issues preventing people from playing more golf: time, intimidation, difficulty and even price”, says Matt Justine, Epic Golf co-founder. “Epic Golf is a relaxed brand that encourages more people to visit local courses. We embrace the lifestyle of so many Millennials and even traditional golfers who want to play more, but can’t find a way to work it into their busy schedule.”

Epic Golf offers new, unique tee time options making golf courses more accessible to consumers, including the option to play 18, 12, 9 or 6 hole rounds; tee times that are dog friendly; family-friendly tee times that welcome kids; options to wear relaxed attire at the course or rental clubs included as part of the reservation. Epic will also offer special tee placements and driving range experiences to make it easier for beginners to access and enjoy their local golf facilities.

“More than 37 million non-golfing Americans are interested in taking up the game — but no one has been able to offer an experience to draw them out to the course,” notes Charlie Klaus, Epic Golf co-founder. “We want to partner with golf courses to provide experiences that create more golfers and urge existing golfers to play more. In addition to a wide-range of tee time options, Epic Golf will offer social event experiences at local golf courses starting this month.

The company’s first event, Downward Dogleg Yoga, will be held on Sunday, June 25 at 8 a.m. in College Park at Dubsdread Golf Course. Participants will enjoy a 1-hour personalized yoga session hosted by College Park Yoga on Dubsdread’s 17th fairway, followed by mimosas, putting contests and group driving range lessons with the golf course staff.

On Wednesday, June 28, Epic Golf will host an Epic Double Date Night at Winter Park Golf Course from 6 p.m. — 8 p.m. This social golf experience is perfect for all skill levels and is more about having fun than making birdies. $25 per person includes 6 holes of golf, beer and wine, rental clubs and golf balls.

Epic Golf will initially operate in Orlando, Florida with plans to expand to other markets later in 2017. Today, Orlando residents and visitors can currently book tee times and events at more than 30 golf courses in the greater Orlando area with more options being added every day.
