So, you have discovered the e-pin mart, and you are trying to maximize your profit? This article is the first of a pair, that helps you understand the platform better. After reading this article, you will be able to better make decisions and set your preferences on the platform to sell WAEC, NECO, JAMB and NABTEB pins.
This is arguably the most important part of managing your pin-vending business with the e-pin mart. Currently, the platform allows you to buy and sell WAEC, NECO, JAMB and NABTEB pins. However, you must purchase stocks before you can sell. On your dashboard, there are many ways to purchase stocks.
1. On the top-left corner of the page, follow Shortcuts->Manage stocks/transactions->purchase stocks.
See the picture below for reference.
2. On the top-right corner of the page, next to your username. Click the tasks icon, then click purchase stocks.
3. Click the stocks value to take you to your stocks’ summary page. Then click purchase stocks on that page.
The Purchase Stocks Dialog
When you click the purchase button using any of the methods explained above, the purchase stocks dialog will be displayed. As in the above picture. You will then need to add the pins you wish to add to your stocks.
Select any of the options given and click the check button to add. Once added, specify the quantity you need.
Then click the purchase button.
You get your receipt if the purchase was successful. Note that throughout this process, you never needed to pay, that’s the strength of the platform. You are paying from your e-wallet. The e-wallet can be used without you funding it prior to usage. Your e-wallet can have a negative balance as is the case when you buy stocks without funding your wallet beforehand.
The Stocks Summary Page
You have seen this page earlier, it simply gives a summary of your stocks’ availability. You will see the quantity of each pin type (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) that you have left. However, you might need more information about your e-pin inventory. Click the ‘View Stocks Reports’ button to get that information. A debit record on your stocks represents a reduction in the quantity of your stocks. The most common reason for this is a sale. When you sell pins, the equal quantity of pins is removed from your inventory. Your wallet is also credited with the total price of pins sold.
You can withdraw from your wallet at any time. The amount is automatically transferred into your account. Your balance must be at least equal to the sum of the transfer charges and the amount you wish to withdraw, which must not be less than NGN 50.
Managing your inventory is very important. However, to succeed in any e-commerce system, you must be able to manage your transactions. You can click ‘View Transactions’ button under the shortcuts button. An important feature to note, but that often evades the majority is the filter system on the top right corner of the transactions page.
By default, only successful transactions are shown. Click the drop-down to view failed or all transactions. You can change the date range you want to view for by clicking on the date range drop-down beside the status drop-down. You can also specify a custom date range.
There are a few options for purchases. You can always purchase from your dashboard, and you can share your purchase page to customers online. When registering, you provided a code. Your purchase link takes the form of [site]/[code]. An example purchase link is “https://www.epinmart.com/smartaa”. Here ‘smartaa’ is the merchant’s code. You can always get your link by clicking on the human avatar on the top right corner of the page.
You must be familiar with the shortcut buttons by now. To purchase pins from your dashboard, follow shortcuts->purchase pins. You must specify the customer’s name and email address for future reference.
The next post will cover updating your profile and setting your business preferences.
