“Do you know the answer? Is it none, or three, or a dozen per week, month, year? But why am I asking? You actually have no idea.”
Now, now, you shouldn’t go around projecting your ignorance onto other people; it just ends up splattering mud all over your face. Really, anybody who knows even a smidgen of anthropology knows that there are plenty of cultures that practice ‘honor killing’, in which a female who engages in any form of sex outside of marriage is killed by her family because of the dishonor that she has brought upon the family. Of course, males who engage in rampant sex suffer no consequences, except in some cases where having sex with another man’s wife can result in capital punishment.
And of course only a smattering of history would tell you that under the ‘pater familias’ structure of ancient Greek and Roman society, the father who murdered his daughter for having illicit sex suffered no legal consequences. Indeed, many countries treated leniently men who, upon discovering their wives in bed with a lover, murdered one or both. No such exceptions were written into these laws for wives in analogous situations. Indeed, I believe that Brazil only recently removed such a law from its books.

Here’s another relevant statement:
“So you see, the lazy fourth-wave feminist meme — that women are saints and victims while men are sinners and predators — is so much bunk.”
I am surprised that an educated person would not be aware of the fact that men resort to violence much more frequently than women:
I suggest that you read a bit of evolutionary psychology to understand why.
“Women are just as capable of committing vicious crimes as men are.”
Yes, a woman can pull a trigger just as easily as a man. The fact, however, is that they do so much less frequently than men do.
“For instance, each year around 200 women in the US kill their children.”
That statistic is useless without comparative information on murder rates of children by men. I dug around in the statistics and discovered that the results are complicated. There is one particularly striking result: stepfathers kill their children with surprisingly high frequency. In any event, many cases of maternal infanticide spring from post-parted depression.
There, now you’ve learned something! Don’t you feel better now? 😀
