You do indeed provide us with excellent examples of cognitive dissonance. Let’s go through a few, shall we?
“The potential problems here are two-fold for Trump: 1) Asking a foreign government for dirt on a political rival”
That’s more than a problem: that’s a felony. Didn’t you know that, or are you denying the law?
“as neither the Ukrainians knew of any sort of quid pro quo arrangement for the information”
Not true. The Ukranians have tried to avoid getting caught up in the controversy, so they make bland nothingburger statements. Certainly plenty of witnesses have made it clear that the Ukranians were frequently told of the quid quo pro. But again, using American aid for purposes of extortion is merely the second felony we’re considering.
“…nor did Trump explicitly state his request as such within the phone call”
Mr. Trump did not explicitly state his request in the transcript that was released. The full transcript was rushed into a super secret location. Gee, what do you think they’re hiding?
“On its surface, this sounds exactly like what Trump is being accused of: quid pro quo.”
Another excellent example of cognitive dissonance: you’re somehow managing to deny the undeniable truth that Mr. Biden had nothing to gain by the dismissal of the Ukranian AG, while Mr. Trump was pursuing personal gain.
“This company was being investigated for money laundering by… you guessed it, the same AG that Biden was publicly bragging about, twisting the Ukrainian Government’s arm to fire.”
False, false, false. Mr. Shokin was NOT investigating corruption, and he was NOT investigating Burisma, despite many calls for him to do so. The Obama Administration wanted to see aggressive investigations of corruption, including Burisma. You have it precisely backwards: Mr. Biden sacrificed his personal interests for the good of the country.
“But when Obama was virtually doing the same damn things…”
Another case of cognitive dissonance. Somehow you have managed to put out of your mind the fact that Mr. Bush started TWO wars, and Mr. Obama started ZERO wars. Mr. Bush invaded TWO countries, Mr. Obama invaded ZERO countries. Mr. Bush is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, where Mr. Obama is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people. But somehow you just can’t see any differences here.
“his atrocious foreign policy, massive increased usage of drone strikes, the fact that he vastly expanded the surveillance state, that he oversaw massive increases of wealth redistribution to the very wealthy and very few (as he courted wall street folks before anyone else!), bailing out of Wall Street instead of Main street during the great recession, persecuted more whistleblowers than any other president combined, having pushed for a mandatory insurance reform (Romneycare) that virtually everyone hated (besides the coverage for pre-existing conditions), and more!”
What a crock of lies! Every single one of these statements is either misleading or a flat out lie. Have you ever heard of something called ‘evidence’? If so, I’d like to see some of that stuff to support your wild lies.
“Find Some Damn Integrity”
Yep, you really, REALLY need to do that. Stop lying.
“Address the inconsistencies, and absolutely denounce any excuses made when the truth is clear as rain.”
So why don’t you follow your own advice?
