Here it is December already and, if you’re anything like me, you catch yourself planning 2023 already. That means potentially missing out on the month of generosity and kindness.

While much is made of the excessive commercialism of the holiday season (thank you for the reminder, Charlie Brown), please remember that you can focus on the positive aspects of this season of giving, togetherness, and celebration of peace on earth.

Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, or just a Santa Claus-driven Happy December, you can make the world a better place in small ways that have a big impact on your friends, family, and your community. Research shows that this helps you be a happier and more well-adjusted person, too.

To help inspire more acts of kindness than just about anyone can do, here is a list of no-cost or inexpensive suggestions for each day in December. Don’t worry if you miss a day. There is no ‘doing this on the wrong day’. Every day is the right day to spread joy, happiness, and acts that bring us together.
