GitLab Issues and Task Completion
Some of the features in GitLab Board Better are stuff that I personally want to have, some of the features are stuff that I find in the GitLab.org project that people asked for, most of the requests are at least 1 year old or even more.
GBB ver 1.8 includes two new features that users asked on the GitLab.org project :)
Show number of open/closed tasks per Issue
Do you use Tasks (checkbox) in your Issues/Tickets? 3 years ago some user asked to see the number of tasks in the board view itself. I find this idea very good because I believe that when you look at the board, you need to get most of the information. The board is your work dashboard.
So now with GBB ver 1.8 you can have a full overview, including the tasks within your Issues/Tickets. Just enable Show number of tasks per issues :)
Configure view when clicking on Issues tab to be issue board
On the right sidebar in GitLab there is ‘Issues’ icon. Again, 3 years ago some user asked to allow setup the configuration of this icon to show the board itself by default and not the issues list. GBB version 1.8 now allow it :) Enable this option and by default it will open the Board and not the issue list.
