How Can We Save The World From The Fire?

I never thought the phrase “some men just want to watch the world burn” would come true, and never did I once think that we would all share an equal part of the blame. Our grasp of the situation is slackening. We’re careening out of control, I fear. There’s been studies everywhere for years and global timelines that have been saying, “Guys, guys, you need to start paying attention now.” But no, even with documentaries like An Inconvenient Truth and that horrible scene with a polar bear drowning (that messed me up as a kid, I’m sorry) weren’t enough to wake people up.

Even now that people are becoming aware of the dangers, there’s still not enough talk of climate change happening — and that increases the chances of failure at saving the planet exponentially.

The Times of Israel recently published an interview with British social scientist Mayer Hillman about the continuous rise of global temperatures and he said in what I could image was a brusque, “We’re doomed.” Now, just like you, I don’t want to believe that humanity is spiraling uncontrollably towards the total eradication of our species, but Hillman could be spot-on. He followed this statement with, “It’s the end of most life on the planet, because we’re so dependent on the burning of fossil fuels.
