As a white kid who grew up in the ghetto, I can attest to the commenter below. I am terrified of the police. Having an officer behind me I have been known to pull off and go to a convenience store or something just to get them away from me. I have been beaten by the police for not pulling over fast enough, I was once literally arrested for “being a white kid in this neighborhood after dark”.
The fact that you refuse to admit your nice, clean, middle or upper class upbringing shows you likely had just that.
The fact is, cops oppress poor people. You were likely stopped at that school in either your nice, new car in a nice neighborhood and that is why you were let go. Had you been in a JR. High School parking lot in my neighborhood, it would have been assumed you stole the car. After the cop sees you have a nice, middle/upper class address, they know you can afford a lawyer and will fight a BS charge, But they see my ID showing I live in the ghetto neighborhood in my beat up, barely running car, You get what happened to me when I got caught smoking weed in a store parking lot. My hood opened, wires yanked out and thrown away to intentionally destroy my car while ‘looking for drugs’ and arrested on suspicion for sales because of my one half smoked joint. Released 5 days later to a car towed, a job lost and losing my tiny ass apartment 2 months later and becoming homeless over it all.
Tell me more about how me being white saved me. Saved me from being what? Shot?
No, you get away with it because you are a spoiled rich kid. Because only spoiled rich kids act that way to cops. When you are poor, you are terrified of the police, despite the color of your skin because you can’t afford a lawyer who will get you out and the department sued.
That is the reality of life you have never seen. But thanks for your academic assessment on what life is like from your ivory tower, spoiled rich kid.
