Oh, and if your thought is that developers don’t build affordable housing, the answer is that they are not supposed to. That’s not how housing markets work. More supply on the high end alleviates demand on existing lower end housing stock. Put it this way. I wouldn’t pay $3k/month for the dump I live in now if I could get a newer and nicer place for the same price.
