Here at San Francisco State University, thousands of students everyday are investing their time and money into pursuing degrees that will ultimately create a better future for themselves. I, myself, am one of those individuals who are striving to obtain a degree within the next few years, yet the whole experience has already been overwhelming at times. Be that as it may, I know it certainly isn’t possible to achieve what I desire without developing some practical mindsets and strategies to become the most successful during my time here.

A few of my most essential habits for strengthening skills academically…


With all the expenses and effort put into to getting a degree, most students would like to graduate within four years, as well as get the most out of their experience in the university. Yet, students have been interacting less and less with their peers. The years of college are a precious time with so many opportunities to meet people that you won’t find anywhere else, so it’s really disappointing how much students miss out on their college experience by not taking advantage of it to grow a more diverse group of friends. …


Ever since I was little, I’ve always loved to draw. I can even remember back to when I was in preschool that I was always drawn to the paper and crayons during free time. Then as time went on, I continued to draw all kinds of pictures and even took three years of art classes in high school in order to improve my skills. As a result of those valuable lessons, my artwork became more realistic and I developed a greater appreciation for my hobby that I’m still for grateful for today. …
