I Thought Gay Celibacy Was My Only Option — I Was Wrong

Such a great memoir here, Patrick. I’ve had a similar journey through my Protestant faith and can relate to the years of wrestling against my sexuality. I’ve now come to the place of embracing being gay and creating a new space for others in that same situation. I’ve also been lucky enough to fall in love with a Lutheran pastor (ELCA) who shares my commitment to my faith, even if embracing being gay puts us on the outside of more conservative Protestant circles. Though I’m guessing you might have already written about finding a space for yourself, I hope you can truly find that space.

I might be submitting my own story for your Reaching Out blog. Thanks for writing.
