A New Adventure: Goodbye and Thank You.

Goodbyes, as tough as they can be, are a natural part of life. I’ve had quite a few prevalent goodbyes in my own life, and today was one of those.

This Sunday was my last at Highland Christian Church. For awhile I felt God calling me elsewhere. And after some diligent prayer and some very obvious signs from God I found new employment. I am now the Jr. High Minister at Southwest Church in Springboro Ohio. I couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for me in this new position. I’ll hit the ground running on the 16th, my first Sunday with them.

However, I can’t just leave Highland without simply saying;

Thank you.

Thank you for taking a chance on a kid.

Thank you for making me a better minister.

Thank you for affirming my gifts and talents.

Thank you for giving me opportunities to lead you and teach you.

Thank you for being an amazing first experience.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I will always treasure my time with you guys and enjoy the many fond memories that were made. You’ve been a big part of my spiritual growth over the last seven months and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. Know that I still believe in Highland, and I believe God will do great things through the members there.

Until Next time…

Eric.
