You’re not that tall

There’s a reason people don’t stand on their tip-toes having their height measured: because they’re not actually that tall. And they know that. They don’t try to fight it.

But growth isn’t a function of ability, desire, or practice. Its rate has already been pre-determined.

When it comes to measuring something with a variable rate of progress, it’s much more difficult to remain so honest.

People cheat on tests, lie about how difficult something felt, and in the gym…lift way more than they’re capable of.

Check your ego. Be honest with yourself. Don’t fake progression. Understand and accept where you are, only then can you truly feel good about moving forward.
