I opened this up expecting it to be the same old Grantland article Jonah Keri used to write talking about the actual worst contracts in baseball (Howard, Pujols, etc.). Instead it’s an article saying a player making $30M a year is underpaid. Also in regards to the minor leaguers, many end up getting large bonuses coming out of high school or college, which essentially acts as their salary. I don’t know of too many professions in the world where you can get a $6M bonus before even starting, especially at the age of 18.
