The End is Nigh. Wood Was Cut. Orzo Was Petted. Furniture Was Broken.
A VERY light workout today. Bands only, no free weights or pullup bar. More limbering up than anything else.
This is what I was limbering up for. I got through 3 of the 5 fallen branches cut up today. Yeah 5. I got a new one last night.
Noise from the chainsaw didn’t seem to bother Orzo much. He hung out with me the whole time.
I’m just hoping he doesn’t think the sawdust is kitty litter.
3 down 2 left but I was wiped out. I’ll finish it tomorrow. And then I noticed it.
I broke the damn bench I made last year using it as a sawhorse. Another damn thing goes on the to-do list.
Orzo had enough after a few hours. He wandered off. He let me pet him a good bit today and I assume that’s about as much socializing as he can stand.
This was about as close to cooking as I had energy for. Some truffle oil drizzled into avocado oil with salt.
Mushrooms go in and I let them soak up the goodness.
Then I just served myself up a big ass plate of carbs with garlic hummus and spicy sweet pickles.
Now it’s just working all night and part of tomorrow too. My workload this week is pretty big so I’ll only get half of tomorrow off. Hopefully I’m not too sore from today to get outside tomorrow.
The good news:
I have 1, ONE, UNO!!!!! page left to draw for the graphic novel. It ended up being 130 pages.
That’s a lot.
After that I’ll be lettering for a few weeks and then it’s all layout. So we are talking completion some time this winter.
Completion. That’s a hell of a word. I’ve been working on this book as long as most of you have known me.
The fact that I stuck to it over the years is amazing to me. Sure I got frustrated with it at times. There were some days when I didn’t even want to look at it. But here the end of the whole thing is barreling at me and I could not be more thrilled.
On to the next thing.
