URV

(Self-Project)

As a designer, I want to help on resolving our public issues. I propose to look at this in a holistic way. Let us bring the technology to this old PH transport system. Let’s move forward.

This could be the future.

Branding

Case: Taxi Cabs / UV Express App

Problem:

(1) Technology — No integrated technology and metered taxi are obsolete.

(2) Safety — We know the horror. Statistically there many incidents and crimes related to this transport unit. The majority of commuters think Uber / Grab is more safety and secured.

(3) Payment — Typically taxi drivers ask for extra pay most especially when there is a traffic or the destination is too far. It is a valid reason I think because they need to get a boundary.

(4) LTFRB vs. TO vs. TNC

Goal:

(1) To bring technology create an app that will regulate this public transport sector.

(2) Using GPS and maps. Monitored by the command center station (LTFRB/MMDA/Stakeholders)

(3) Easy booking and estimation of taxi fare

(4) Modernization and reunification of public transport units

(5) Safety: Anti-Crime

(6) Data Base: Operators, Drivers, Stakeholders, Customers

(7) Payment Options: Cash, Credit Card, Beep Card, GCash etc.

(8) Transparency

Propose Solution:

Waze + Uber + Grab = URV (URVAN)

(Unified Regulated Vehicles & Autonomous Network)

To be continued …
