How to choose a laptop for programming
Ayo Isaiah

Hi Ayo,

Thanks for this breakdown. I have a 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display I bought back in 2014. Honestly, I use only Apple products so I figured MacBook was fitting and got the Retina Display because I got the computer at the same price as one without it.

I’ve been considering getting a new laptop so my wife and I don’t have to share any longer. As I’m learning HTML, CSS, and eventually diving more into Ruby, I never factored everything necessary to “code comfort.” I’ll definitely take into consideration your recommendations when I do plan on making my next purchase.

One question though. Is it best to get a brand new one or what are your thoughts on refurbished computers?
