How To Boost And Deal With Low Self-Esteem

The power of positive self-talk to boost confidence.

Every single person in the world has a set message that they play through their mind every day.

From Monday’s to Sunday’s, people have different moods varied about the day. Some feel overjoyed for the weekends, yet depressed or flustered for Mondays.
Others see it as another day of hustling, while others are thrilled and express gratitude for every day.
But it’s these messages that we play and allow ourselves to play that sets the tone and our world around us.

For way too many of us, we participate in negative self talk. Every time we wake up and go through the motions we think in a negative fashion.

It can’t be explained easily why we deviate towards that, but this particular act can affect us dramatically in our lives.

Even if it’s something small like a doubt.

Indeed, negative self talk can tank our self-esteem, and there really is only one way to boost and deal with it:

Self-talk can carry a massive amount of weight. Depending on how you use it, it can affect your life as well as your confidence. As mentioned above our moods are affected by how we think during our waking up sequence.

Some people feel very depressed on Mondays because they think of work and everything they don’t like about it. Others are thrilled as they look at what the day may hold.

This can also be boiled down to the kind of self-talk that people do during the day. The power of positive self-talk can ensure that those who participate in that are less at risk of feeling depressed.

Furthermore these individuals have higher self-esteem and think brightly about themselves.

When we participate in positive self-talk many great things can happen to our lives. Things like:

  • During negative situations, it brings out the positive;
  • It assists us in realizing more about ourselves and recognizing the truth; and
  • We see the mistakes that we make as opportunities to grow.

Self-Talk Affects Our Confidence

Regardless of the circumstances you are in your life today, self-talk can help you. Take the case of Rhett Power co-founder of Wild Creations, one of the fastest growing companies in the US in 2016. Every day he woke up and repeated three success affirmations (video here).

That simple action started to change his life around.

Before Wild Creations, him and his business partner were living out of their vans, getting toilet paper from the convention centre, and eating cans of cold Ravioli.
But as Power started to practice this self-talk, the more that he started to believe in himself. No longer did he feel like he was a victim.

True he made mistakes, but these affirmations helped him to move forward rather than to stay paralyzed.


You see what we say can affect immensely what we say and do. With self-talk it can paralyze us to do the same thing over and over again. Or it can bolster ourselves to have confidence in ourselves.

The choice is entirely yours to make on what you want to do. But always remember, you are listening.
