How To Go Faster In Your Hustle With No Burn Out

The Daily Grind #66

We’ve all been stuck before in our business. From staring at a blank page as a writer to figuring out what sort of product or service we can provide or market accordingly so people will buy it.

We are one step away from finding what it is we need and with that another problem sprouts up.

It can be exhausting for a lot of us and due to this particular nature a lot of people spend 60 or 100 hour weeks hustling at this. In fact, for a lot of people this is their life and some of them are proud of it.

But as I’ve been working pretty hard myself over the past few weeks, I know that this isn’t the answer. In fact, there is a smarter and faster way for us to hustle.

It All Starts With Intentions

The first part of hustling faster and not burning out is to know your intentions. When you know exactly what you are striving for in your life and what your company is about, you will make progress.

Facebook grew rapidly because at one point in time Mark Zuckerberg told his employees one thing:

“This is our focus: growth. Nothing else matters”

Or at least something like that.

But to this day Zuckerberg has focused so much on growing Facebook into the giant that it is that he doesn’t know who or what is competing with the company.

But there is something else that’s in there as well that’s just as important.

Followed By Focus

Hustling faster means knowing what you intend to do with your business, but then zeroing in on it. That is doing activities that expressively push you towards that intention.

If your focus is on improving yourself as a writer start learning how to write faster. I’d even recommend taking Tom Kuegler’s Power Hour Medium Challenge, or hell ANY of his courses on Medium growth.

Sure it helps you with growing on Medium, but it also talks about the qualities of a writer. He’s also made a handful of videos talking about other writers or writing killer headlines and more.

My point is when you have a focus and an intention something magical will happen. That is if you are really fucking serious about where you want to go and how to go about it.

Go Further By Challenging Yourself

How to hustle faster and avoid burn out is to challenge yourself at a reasonable pace. Burn out stems from the fact you are dwelling on something for far too long.

But when you are focusing on something with great intention and you push yourself to meet those standards, you will grow.

I’m not joking about taking the One Power Hour Medium Challenge. In fact the writing portion focuses on spending only fifteen minutes writing.

How will you ever write something in fifteen minutes?

Simple. You challenge yourself.

If you are used to writing for an hour or even a half hour, and you want to go faster, then you need to challenge yourself.

And if you think that’s impossible, well I challenge you to open your mind a little more. Primarily because when we challenge ourselves to finish things in shorter periods of time, something else happens as well.

No, we don’t burn out. We, in fact, get to the main point. The meat and bones of everything.

This is critical for an entrepreneur who works long hours. Because often times the solution is looking them right in the face and they don’t even realize it.

But when you have those things all lined up for you, you will start to hustle faster. And you won’t be getting burnt out.

To your growth!
