Shoemaker’s answer to #7 was perfect.

Rubin’s answer to everything was near perfect; I kind of love her.

#10 Herman: I agree that Captain America: The First Avenger and the two GotG movies are head-and-shoulders above the rest, but… “Guardians is great, but can it do an origin story, a genre experiment, and a team-up juggling act? I don’t think so.” Um… yes. That’s what the first GotG was; did you even watch it? Or was that sarcasm? Because…
Origin story? It was a franchise that few had heard of; not sure if you watched it, but if you did you learned about all the characters’ origins during the movie. Check.
Genre Experiment? Superhero movie crossed with space opera. Check.
Team-up juggling act? StarLord may be the leader, but Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot all play undeniably important roles. That’s five characters, if you’re counting (if you’re not, it’s still five); one could call that a “team.” In the sequel, the story was ostensibly about StarLord’s father but he had less agency during the movie than the other characters over the course of the entire movie. Check.

So… yeah. You may not think so, but I *know* you’re wrong because GotG vol 1 DID IT!
