Intro
Hi, I’m Erika Baum. I’ve been reading you all for a couple of months now, and I have finally decided it was time to start sharing my rants with you. So today, on the first day of the year, I post my first thoughts on Medium.
Before I begin, I wanna say I think it’s a great platform and I love the community around it. I hope to be of any good influence, help or just entertainment to you all.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and read my thoughts. Feel free to comment your honest opinions, preferably in a constructive manner, and let’s all keep the harmony alive!
If you want to know more about me, I’ll try to sum it up in these few lines:
I’m a 35 year old Virgo born in Panama to an American Father and a Colombian Mother. I am a Producer, VO Artist, Singer, Actress and Dancer, that has lived a very difficult (haven’t we all?), albeit charming life filled with all sorts of adventures, from having traveling jobs like producing an online entertainment show for an airline, to singing on cruise ships. I’ve been on TV, Radio, Musical Theater…I’ve been in front of cameras and behind the scenes, I’ve worked for a very important Global Company servicing 5 different time zones simultaneously, I’ve been a workaholic, I’ve been a team-member, I’ve been a team leader, I’ve been boss, and then 7 years ago, I left all the commodities of corporate Erika to become free-lancer Erika in search of finding a true balance in life. No such luck yet… I’ll keep you posted on that!
Also, I am supposed to be a good communicator and teacher, so I’m working on perfecting these traits. You will be my guinea pigs! (*place Evil Laugh here*). I have an insatiable passion for life in general: travel, music, art, theatre, people, nature, harmony… I just want to take it all in, as much as possible! This has taken me many places and has brought me close to a great number of people who bring color and joy to my life. I love you all!
And now, I’m here to start blogging about my life, and all the things I learn along the way. Philosophical rants, goals, ideals, and just random thoughts and dreams of a better life and future. I will tell you all about my adventures and experiments in life, and hope that you will find them entertaining at the least.
I would like to apologize in advance, because English is not really my first language, although I am technically a true bilingual since birth. But you will find I make up my words, and express myself a little differently. Hope you find it cute and funny.
