Yeah, I’m white. And midwestern. And pretty educated. And catholic. and liberal. And married w kids. I’m a soccer mom. But I’m a lot of other things too that I don’t really talk about in public in my super conservative super catholic circle because I’d be shunned. But you’d better believe that when I do dare speak my mind- even a little- on FB, the trolls come outta the woodwork and use my page as a debating ground, as a place to spread hatred and every -ism there is…. all of it horrible, some of it personal (though they would never know it).

I respond a little. I engage. I try not to cry but man, some of their shit makes me curl up in the fetal position and wonder just who it was that made them think such awful things about their fellow humans. I wonder why they think I want to read it- do they think it will change my opinions? Ha. They don’t know who I am inside. They never will.

Thank god this response is private. Please know that I’m fighting the jerks with you. Please remember that if you see me on fb- while I may look like your average white girl, I too am scared of Trump. I too have a lot to lose. I fear who’s next on his list. And I’m grateful to everyone who’s brace enough to stand up and say I AM ________. I’ll stand up for everyone. I will. I just can’t tell them who I really am.
