Health fads come and go regularly. This is nothing new. However, every once and a while something comes along so damn bizarre you have to wonder who was the first weird person to try it.

Don’t get me wrong, one’s opinion between weird and genius may vary dramatically. But, this one might stretch the boundaries of logical thought and common sense of even the most bohemian.

The idea of tanning is nothing new by far. Western culture has prized a good sun tan for at least 100 years now. Going to the beach or pool is a common pastime for most during warmer times of the year. However, a recent trend is taking sun worshiping to a new level.

A Twitter user named “MetaphysicalMegan” gained a bit of stardom by demonstrating perineum sunning. The perineum is the small bit of skin between your anus and sexual organ of choice. Savages such as myself have been known to refer to this area as the taint. If you don’t know why…Please Google it.
