Being less than three months away from the World Cup these international friendlies could be crucial.

This week there will be no club football meaning no Premier League, no La Liga, no Serie A, no Bundesliga.

Whichever club football that you think of there will not be any because of international friendlies.

Now you might be thinking what is the point of international friendly matches?

It serves a purpose for the coaches who do not have their players on a day to day basis to see what players are up to par and fit for the biggest tournament in the world.

Coaches are able to workout plays that could end up being crucial during a World Cup and build more team chemistry to get to know each other better on the pitch.

International friendlies allow for coaches to see if players are able to play in different positions are call up players they have not seen before.

Before the World Cup starts there are always a couple of players that fall from the teams original 23 man list whether it be for injury or low performance with their clubs.

To have options to find replacements for those players is very important because the coach does not want to be scrambling for a player to replace another and still have to wonder if the player is going to fit in the teams system of play.

International friendlies give teams the options to face teams to play against other teams that they might face in the World Cup.

This helps for teams to study one another and draw conclusions from that game on what the team has to improve on before beginning the tournament.

The same conclusions the team drew from that game could be valuable to use it for another team that have a similar playing style.

The matches are also important for fans, fans are not able to see their national team play every weekend.

It allows the fans to see the best players from their country in one team and send them good vibes before going to compete at the World Cup.

These last few friendlies could be the final chance for a player to show he belongs to be on the final 23 man list to the World Cup.

No player could hold anything back because they want to get to the World Cup in the best shape possible because for some player this could be a on time opportunity in their career.

The World Cup could be a slingshot for bigger opportunities for some players because the whole world is watching and all the biggest clubs in the world are watching.
