The diagram below illustrates the several stages of how to recycle aluminum cans.

Overall, it is evident that the process commences with disposing of the used cans and ends with manufacturing containers with reusing material.

Initially, used cans are thrown away into the trash bins then collected and sent to the special center which is particularly dealing with these containers for recycling. The aluminum cans are cleaned and sorted first, because they may be filthy and inappropriate for reusing. Subsequently, they are shredded and compressed by a sophisticated recycling machine. After completing the stage, the aluminum cans are heated and melted into the form of liquid, which is the raw material for reusing.

The liquid is rolled out to the thickness of between 2.5mm to 6.mm, and it is ready to apply the ingredients into producing the containers. The recycling products are used into various containers, such as drinks cans or foods jars, which are quite often seen in the supermarkets or convenience stores. In the UK, Coke Cola cans are made up of 74 percent recycled material.
