I really enjoyed this- the cosplay idea is an interesting one, especially considering that many of these characters are so thin in the movie itself (looking at you, Killer Croc) that they essentially just serve as something cool to look at for a while. It certainly does seem that DC is missing the core reason that the Nolan trilogy was such a success: those movies were made by a filmmaker, not a focus-tested, studio micro-managed process.

I just finished an article comparing Suicide Squad to Nerve, a movie which, for all its flaws, I found much more earnest and engaging. Feel free to give it a read!
