Whole 30 — Day 6

Today was the hardest day by far. I craved food that’s not on the plan and it sucked. We volunteered again this morning, so I had to grab a quick breakfast. The Lara bar didn’t last too long and I was starving by the time we were done. Again, there were lots of beautiful pastries and I wanted them so much more than yesterday.

We needed to grab lunch and went to Grassroots and I was almost reaching for the sandwiches and fries off of other people’s plates. I got a salad which was amazing, but there was honey in the dressing. I didn’t care at that point, oh well, what are you going to do? Forgive and move forward!

The worst was when my parents came over for dinner and my mom brought these beautiful salted caramel cheesecakes from the Singh Farms market. OMG. I wanted to cry. She also brought a fresh leek and Parmesan focaccia. Didn’t have that either. Ugh.

Quarter close is coming up, so there will be more tests of willpower. I told my coworkers that I can’t eat cookies so hopefully they’ll shame me if they see me with one.

TODAY I’M PROUD: that I didn’t eat that cheesecake. Holy shit.

BREAKFAST: Apple Lara Bar

LUNCH: Spinach, chicken, cranberry, apple and pecan salad with honey mustard dressing. It was so, so good.
