This was a great read, thank you. I joined in late 2008 so I have the same problem. Twitter lists weren’t used much back then and even when I started using them, I didn’t use them well and have ignored them since. I really need to start all over so I can be more active on Twitter.
Nice post Erin! I have been on since early 2009, and I still find that it is hard to decide who to follow. I have never hit the numbers that you hit, but do tend to give anyone with a real profile a chance if they follow me. (I will unfollow if they flood my feed with nonsense or spam me.) Personally, I look for people I view as interesting, and sometimes quirky. It helps me to enjoy my feed and stay active.
