Congratulations! I do not want to pee on your air conditioner parade, but if it’s a window unit, make sure you can get it in your window when it arrives. My last place had a pretty flat sill-to-outside surface, but in this place the window has a 4 inch lip where the storm window goes in and I had to go get some 2x4 and wood shims to prop it up. I think the guy downstairs uses styrofoam slabs. It was the WORST when after a long day of moving on the hottest day of the year we could not get the AC in the window and the hardware store was closed.
