Fort Collins rent prices increased faster than the national average last year, and students and community members frequently complain about the cost of rising rent.

For a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment, the median rent price in 2015 was $1397.

Here’s a look at five of the most expensive one-bedroom apartments currently for rent within two blocks of the CSU campus.

1. Lokal: $1,350

Lokal is new to Fort Collins, but its rent for a one-bedroom apartment has already climbed up to the most expensive in the town. For a one-bedroom apartment at Lokal, expect to pay around $1,350 per month.

Located right across the CSU campus on Plum Street, Lokal residents have access to reserved and covered parking, 24-hour maintenance, a rooftop hot tub, and “exciting resident events,” according to the complex’s website.

The complex also has an altitude deck with a grilling area and a community media lounge.

2. Max Flats: $1,185

Located in campus west, a one-bedroom apartment will cost $1,140 per month.

Included in the price is access to a fitness center, outdoor heated pool and community hot tub.

The campus flats at Ram’s Crossing include a business lounge and a tanning booth.

The complex advertises that penthouses are still available with “view of the new stadium.” The apartments are within half a mile of campus.
