You are a Tree

Growing into who you are

I read somewhere trees grow in spurts. Cycles of expansion and rest.

I think that’s how you and I grow too. Are you in the growth phase, expanding into who you’re meant to be? Or are you resting, taking a much needed breath? There’s beauty in both. You need both to grow.

Imagine the most majestic, beautiful tree you’ve ever seen. Like that tree, you started out as a seed. Maybe you’re still a seed, unable to see how beautiful you are, but you’re growing; your roots are forming. It’ll take some time, but when the storms of life come and the wind seems too strong, you won’t fall.

No. Not you. Not this time because you’re taking your time, letting your roots take root.

Do you hear it? The wind whispers, “Trust the process.”

Trust that you don’t need to rush. Trust that you’ll become that majestic, deep-rooted tree. You’ll become what you already are in your own time.

All of us form a forest. Beautiful, majestic trees of all shapes and sizes and colors. Do you hear the other trees whispering?

“You’ve got this.”

“I believe in you.”

“I can relate. Thank you for sharing.”

You’re not alone here.

Here we are, all of us, at different stages of growth.
