This is Not a Blog
After an hour of intense copying and pasting from my “notes” on my phone and computer, to several apps that hold random spurts of energetic writing, to the 3 separate and over-30-page-long Word documents that have acted as a digital journal, I am, to pose simply, annoyed. Annoyed with my lack of organization, scatteredness of thoughts and lack of communication with my ideas after I initially turn them into words.
With a late night decision instigated by a conversation uponn finding my brother in my bed, we shared in casual discourse, gazing at the ceiling, and Joe and I vowed to start sharing (and therein, organizing) each of our writing endeavors.
Plain and simply, I write every day. Whether it be in a written scrawl on a notepad I keep on my desk, on my notes app or in a journal, words are typically flowing through my fingers to some form of medium. And you know what? Some of it is actually worth while, once I look back on it. I read through my journal the other day, and you could not have told me that I was the author of some of the pieces, and I felt proud that I had work to show for my time.
So, I am going to pour my mind and my words into this medium, for the benefit of my organization venture and mental clarity (and maybe someone might read what I have to say, and appreciate it too).
Because if not now, when?
