If I’m reading this correctly, you’re saying the ego is variably contingent upon external factors, therefore it doesn’t exist. But do you believe that rivers are illusions because all the water is changing from forces outside of the river?

I know identity is a hella bloated philosophical topic in in general, but I’ll summarize my rebuttal to your claim by saying that the ego (You) isn’t an illusion, its a descriptor for a distinctly unique amalgamation of your subjective experiences.
