The travel-only Gmail account: A practical proposal for digital privacy at the US border

Great post Ken, it’s certainly a pickle.

One wonders how the CEO’s and other similar leaders of industry, perhaps travelling business and first class, of international mega conglomerates, travel with laptop, smartphone, etc. reacts to such requests.

Surely Directors and Board Members of elite status have to protect their data from the state as well? Or maybe private jets solve their problems?

Perhaps their IT departments have ways of circumventing such scrutiny.

Maybe a way to ship devices separately prior to travel and go through the borders with only a dumb phone as connectivity.

The cloud solution is possibly the only workable one for now, however as you say a pain to set up each time. Perhaps this is a travel software product wanting to be created.

Will be awaiting your updates, safe travels mate.
