Wireframes are dead—why I haven’t used wires in over a year.
Zakary Kinnaird

It kind of sounds like the projects you’ve worked on has had trouble transitioning from wireframes to final designs?

Other than it takes forever to digitise (which I am going to actively cut down on), I find wireframes helpful for early stage user testing- and understanding if the physical models of interaction and navigation you’ve designed are consistent with users’ mental model.

And yes, I agree, by definition they are ‘sh*tty’ versions of the final design, but that’s only if there is some kind of agreement that there is to be very little iteration after the wireframes are done… I’m still learning this UX trade so I don’t know, I could be wrong.
