In my last post (earlier today), I said I would deal with Think Tanks at a later date. I guess I should have said, later today. This morning, while reviewing responses to my writings on Medium.com, a gentleman by the name of Kenneth Tomlin suggested that I read an article about China from Foreign Affairs magazine. In response to him, I am now posting my first essay on Think Tanks.

I will begin with a background check on Foreign Affairs magazine, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Woodrow Wilson.

Foreign Affairs magazine is published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). With offices in New York City and Washington, DC, the Council on Foreign Relations is considered by some to be the most influential foreign-policy Think Tank in the United States.

Including names like Fareed Zakaria, Colin Powell, Tom Brokaw, and Madeleine Albright, CFR’s impressive list has included senior politicians, more than a dozen Secretaries of State, CIA directors, bankers, lawyers, professors, and prominent media figures. CFR is perhaps best known by the general public as the publisher of the widely read bi-monthly journal Foreign Affairs.

In policy circles, however, CFR is known for its “David Rockefeller Studies Program”, which often succeeds in influencing foreign policy by making official recommendations to the President and diplomatic community, testifying before Congress, speaking with the media, and publishing on issues of foreign policy.

My response to Mr. Tomlin was a question. Why would I believe the opinion of that magazine, and the findings of its Think Tank, the CFR? I absolutely do not believe any opinion they proffer, but I do monitor them regarding their work.

Depending on your perspective, think tanks either enrich the economic space by conducting policy research and facilitating public dialogue and debate (total bullshit), or undermine ‘democracy’ by pushing policies favored by powerful corporate interests (the absolute, unadulterated truth). Obviously, I am of the latter belief.

Let’s begin with the fact that Woodrow Wilson was one of the founders of both Chatham House (1919), and the Council on Foreign Relations (1919). He’s the very same guy who signed the law creating the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. President Wilson, a tool, and instrument of the Capitalists of his day, had this to say in 1919.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

He had been coerced into signing by the banking interests that paid for his election, and direct pressure that not following their wishes might lead to the embarrassing disclosure of his marital infidelity.

Racist Wilson is also the same guy who denied Paul Robeson admission to Princeton University while he was President of the United States, having formerly been the Governor of New Jersey, and the President of Princeton University.

It must also be noted that Woodrow Wilson was one of the members that boarded the train with John D. Rockefeller and J. P. Morgan; to attend the Conference on Jekyll Island, Georgia in 1910. In the late 1800s, Jekyll Island became an exclusive hunting club for families with names like Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Pulitzer, and Baker.

In November 1910, they were joined by six men additional men — Nelson Aldrich, A. Piatt Andrew, Henry Davison, Arthur Shelton, Frank Vanderlip and Paul Warburg — who met at the Jekyll Island Club, off the coast of Georgia, to write a plan to reform the nation’s banking system. The meeting and its purpose were closely guarded secrets, and participants did not admit that the meeting occurred until the 1930s. But the plan written on Jekyll Island laid a foundation for what would eventually be the Federal Reserve System, the privately owned Central bank of the United States.

Please note that the Act creating the Federal Reserve System was sponsored by Senator Nelson Aldrich, U.S. Senator from Ohio, who also happened to be the father-in-law of John D. Rockefeller, JR. Former Governor of New York and former Vice President Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller was his namesake. [Family connections are the foundation for power.]

I now go back to Woodrow Wilson, one of the greatest ‘racist’ US presidents, with former president Donald Trump still trying to catch him. Wilson was such a great tool of the ruling elite that they actually named a Think Tank in his honor.

The Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars is a DC-based think tank dealing primarily in issues of international development, science and technology, and security and international affairs. Established in 1968 as part of the Smithsonian Institution, the Center, named for the above-mentioned rascal, provides the link between the world of ideas and the world of policy; and fostering research, study, discussion, and collaboration among a full spectrum of individuals.

By the way, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars was formed the same year as another Think Tank, the Urban Institute (not a small coincidence). While the Woodrow Wilson Center dealt with international issues, the Urban Institute was needed domestically, to keep the ‘natives’ (people of color) from getting too restless as urban ghettoes were literally on fire in 1968.

I was a Ford/HUD Fellow, which means they paid for my award at the University of Pennsylvania the following year (1969), one year after the Urban Institute was formed. Enrolled in a joint program to receive my Master’s Degrees in City and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture, I worked as an intern with the City of Philadelphia’s City Planning Commission, as well as an intern with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (9 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey).

What I learned in those 2 short years shaped the rest of my life. I was clear that no government in America (city, county, state, federal) wanted to genuinely, seriously, and sincerely, address the ‘problems’ of ghetto life in Urban America. After a brief stint in Sankore Society in 1969, I joined the Nation of Islam in 1970.

I will end with one last observation regarding Think Tanks. Founded in 1974, Cato Institute moved to Washington, DC in 1981, in an attempt to become more influential. And become influential it has! Today, Cato is a multi-billion, multi-issue organization consisting of more than 200 faculty and staff members.

Named after Cato’s Letters, a series of pamphlets published in England in the 1720’s, which helped lay the philosophical foundation for the American Revolution, Cato continues to publish numerous policy studies, briefs, books, and periodicals, including the peer-reviewed Cato Journal.

Why would someone in England, in the 1720’s, propose, “the philosophical foundation for the American Revolution”? Let that question marinate in your mind.

Today…Cato’s mission is to “broaden the parameters of public policy debate to allow consideration of the traditional American principles of limited government, individual liberty, free markets, and peace.” What a bunch of ‘happy horseshit.’ But it certainly sounds good, and fills the European/Caucasian with the belief that their enslavement of humanity is justified. Their lies will keep us in bondage, and our truth will set us free.
