The authoritarian system within Google you are describing is not much different from Communist China. ‘Harmony’ of the group as a whole is the goal, not the liberty of each individual. The freedom to speak out on any subject that causes ‘disharmony’ will be dealt with harshly (in this case, removal from the company). Now one can understand why Google and Facebook bow to Communist China in their effort to play nice and compete within that authoritarian system…there really is no difference between them. So much so, that these companies are willing to silence free speech and behave like the surveillance state that is (Red) China. Freedom of the individual is quashed in order to serve the ‘greater good’ of the group (think).
As an employee, you will never enjoy true freedom until you leave the company.
