It never occurred to her she could feel anything but admiration for the kind man who brought food to the abbey from his restaurant. The one always filled with famous faces down the street.

But here Gowidleux was, crying over the last gazpacho he ever gave her. He knew her favorite.

What broke her silence (and heart) was learning, after his death, that the man was her estranged father.
